Dog Boarding and Daycare

In order to keep The Poconos Barking Lot a fun and safe environment, all dogs must meet the following requirements:

1. We need to know your dog’s temperament prior to booking

All new dogs must take a temperament evaluation prior to scheduling boarding, grooming and/or daycare visits. The safety and care of our staff & pets is of the utmost importance, therefore aggressive or toy-possessive dogs are accepted only upon adequate evaluation and in accordance with our special handling policy.

2. All dogs must be up-to-date on current vaccinations

• DHPP
• Rabies
• Bordetella (yearly vaccines accepted but six month boosters encouraged)
• We must receive proof of current vaccinations before your dog’s first day.

3. We check all dogs for fleas prior to booking in our facility

Recommended flea control products:

• Frontline or Frontline Plus
• Advantage or K-9 Advantage
• Revolution

4. Heart-worm control recommended

• Heartguard or Heartguard Plus
• Revolution

5. Spayed/Neutered or Unaltered dogs 

Whether your dog is spayed, neutered or unaltered, they are welcome! please specify if your dog shows aggressive behavior as the booking process is different for aggressive dogs  click here to pre-register!
